Lindex - The Lincolnshire Grid
Information on the project funded in 2003 through the Full Disclosure programme
This was a collaborative project embracing libraries, museums, archives and voluntary and community groups within Lincolnshire. It took the existing Lincolnshire Collection, a card index, comprising 30,000 annotated entries, covering all the principal monographs and journals in Lincolnshire. Entries were updated, standardised and turned into electronic form.
Additionally, a range of supplementary indexes, such as the index to the Stamford Mercury, 1800-1899, were integrated with the Lincolnshire Collection, making it the most comprehensive research tool in the county.
To increase access to the resource, the D-Serve module converted the DS Calm catalogue entires to digital form and made them available over the internet. In this way, researchers are now able to access the Lincolnshire Collection any time, anywhere.
