MDA to Receive MLA Renaissance Funding
February 2006: a press release (see PDF files) from The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) announced funding for MDA, the UK’s leading authority on information management in museums, to create Collections Link, an innovative service providing information and advice in all areas of collections management.
Historic Libraries Forum Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Historic Libraries Forum was held on Thursday 15 December 2005, with the topic Archives for non-archivists (see PDF files). The report of the 2004 meeting on catalogue automation (see PDF files) is also of interest to those considering retrospective conversion projects.
National Archives launches scheme to tackle cataloguing backlogs
September 2005: a press release (see PDF files) from the National Archives announced the launch of a scheme to award £200,000 worth of grants to tackle cataloguing backlogs in local archives.

Workshops
Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) funded a series of Full Disclosure workshops held in the UK from July 2002 to November 2004. The purpose of the workshops was to raise awareness of Full Disclosure, to build a network of Full Disclosure "champions" and to discuss issues surrounding retroconversion projects.

Conclusions
