Instructions for enabling JavaScript in principal browsers
PC: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome
PC and Mac: Safari
PCs
Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x and 8.x
- From the browser menu, select 'Tools', then 'Internet options'
- In the window that opens, select the second tab 'Security'.
- Under the heading 'Custom', select the button 'Custom level'.
- In the window that opens, scroll down towards the bottom of the list to the item 'Scripting'.
- In the first option 'Active scripting', select the radio button 'Enable'.
- Select 'OK', then 'OK' again to confirm the settings and close the window.
Firefox 2.x and 3.x
- From the browser menu bar, select 'Tools' then 'Options'.
- Select 'Content' from the top menu.
- On the left-hand side of the window, select 'Enable JavaScript’ checkbox.
- Select 'OK' to confirm the settings.
Opera 9.x and 10.x
- Click on the Opera logo at the top left-hand side of the browser window.
- Select Settings > Quick preferences from the menu.
- Select 'Enable JavaScript’.
Google Chrome 4.x and 5.x
- Click on the Opera logo at the top left-hand side of the browser window.
- Select Settings > Quick preferences from the menu.
- Select 'Enable JavaScript’.
PC and Mac
Safari 4.x and 5.x
- Click on the icon at the top right-hand side of the browser window.
- Select ‘Preferences’ from the top menu.
- Select ‘Security’ from the tab menu at the top of the window.
- Select the ‘Enable JavaScript’ checkbox.
- Click the cross at the top right-hand side of the window to close it.
