Preservation
The Preservation Department's fundamental role is to safeguard the collections from harm while enabling continued and appropriate access to them.
The department comprises of a small team of trained professionals and support staff who manage and supervise preservation work streams and initiatives across all BL sites (a separate Preservation North division is based in the BL's Document Supply Centre in Boston Spa, caring specifically for the collections in that environment).
