The following sample files are currently available to download:
Linked Open BNB
The two files below provide RDF/XML samples of the Linked Open British National Bibliography data. The first sample includes books, including monographs published over time. The second sample includes serials. Data is described using properties from the following vocabularies:

BNB in Basic RDF/XML
This file provides a sample of basic RDF/XML data from the British National Bibliography including pre-publication information as well as data about published books and serials. Data is described using properties from the following vocabularies:

The British Library is currently examining options for making the British National Bibliography available in JSON. Below are two sample files.
Sample 1 [1.40 MB ZIP Format] preserves the namespace prefixes; Sample 2 [1.09 MB ZIP Format] does not.

The British Library is currently examining options for making subject specific journal article metadata available for projects. The files below provide samples of basic RDF/XML of journal article metadata covering Palaeontology and Crystallography for feedback.
