The British National Bibliography - This week’s new BNB records

The subscription service to the British National Bibliography ceased with weekly issue number 3170 which was made available for download in early December 2011. The British National Bibliography continues to exist as an online service at http://bnb.bl.uk.

In order to assist our users we produce a weekly list of the new records added to the British National Bibliography. The list is produced as a downloadable pdf and is arranged in Dewey classification number order.

This service is provided for free and is principally provided to enable users to find the records for the latest and forthcoming titles in their own subject area.

Our intention is to provide enough information within the records to enable a user to make a decision on whether to obtain the item but full details for a title may be found by searching the BNB online.

The following information is given for each title:

Dewey number
Title and statement of responsibility
Publication details
Physical description
ISBN
BNB number
Library of Congress Subject Headings
Prepublication record flag, where appropriate

Even though the records are quite brief, each PDF runs to several hundred pages so we would not recommend printing it out.
