This year the British Library is partnering with CIDA (Cultural Industries Development Agency) to support their annual one day conference.

If you work in the creative industries, this one-day conference is especially for you, bringing together creative industry practitioners, policy makers and businesses.

This year, the keynote speaker will be Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries.

British Library Strategic Marketing and Communications Director, Frances Brindle will be discussing the opportunities at the Library for those within the creative industries and how the Library can help, whether with inspiration or for business management and growth.

The panel will be made up of eight industry experts:

Alison Wenham, Music industry expert and Chairman and CEO of AIM (Association of Independent Music)
David Parrish, Author of “T-shirts and Suits: A Guide to the Business of Creativity”
Eze Vidra, Head of Google’s Campus programme, a dedicated space in East London for technology startups as well as a successful entrepreneur
Pauline Tambling, Joint CEO of Creative and Cultural skills and Managing Director of National Skills Academy
Mary Alice Stack, Director of ArtCo Project at Art Council England
Andrew Senior, An expert in the development of the creative economy
Nancy Groves, Editor of the Guardian Culture Professionals Network
Fabio Santos, Director of Project Phakama, actor, dancer and lecturer at London Metropolitan University.
