Win the Dyson Award

30/04/10

Are you a student inventor?

Entries are open for the James Dyson Award, a high-profile celebration of the most ingenious student inventions of 2010. A £20,000 prize is up for grabs.

In previous years, the award has discovered a range of problem-solving ideas including a GPS for guide dogs, a plug that folds flat and a kayak that turns into a tent.

The award, run by the James Dyson Foundation, aims to celebrate young designers and inspire the next generation of design engineers.

“We need to do more to support and celebrate the engineers of the future. Making things is not about grime and grease, but solving real life problems.”

- Sir James Dyson

Closing date: 1 July 2010
