WANTED: up-and-coming London SMEs who are ready to grow their business and fancy £10,000 worth of free business advice

The British Library’s Business & IP Centre is looking for over 100 small or medium enterprises based in London who are ready to smash through to the next level of growth, to offer them a free helping hand in the form of a package of business advice and support worth £10,000. The programme, Innovating for Growth, is a major three-year initiative funded by the European Regional Development Fund, and will be run from the British Library’s base in St Pancras, London.

Life after the Forces

On 3 July 2012, the British Library’s Business & IP Centre will host 'From Battlefield to Business', in association with a range of military charities. This event will showcase the achievements of inspiring entrepreneurs who successfully started their own businesses after leaving the Armed Forces, including the founder of the Covent Garden Soup Company who went on to buy Green & Blacks chocolate, and the ex-Army entrepreneur who started his own successful waste disposal company ‘Absolute Rubbish’, after struggling to find permanent work on his return to ‘Civvy Street’.
