Art portal: Go Figurative

21/07/10

Sally Perry and Janine Collins founded Go Figurative, a  portal for figurative (life-like) artists to display and sell their work, and network online.

They created it with the help of the Centre: business planning workshops helped to understand the process of pitching for finance, whilst our market research collections gave them the information to make their business plan a winning one.

Sally and Janine from Go Figurative are running a free event next week: an intellectual property event for new and growing businesses.

Network with artists and other businesses, and hear from some expert speakers on protecting your ideas and making the most of them:

Jonty Hurwitz, co-founder and CTO Wonga.com and sculptor will examine the cross over between his business and his art and ask should artists be protecting their IP?

Denise Nurse, commercial lawyer, Sky News weather girl and one of the founders of pioneering law firm Halebury

Nick Zweck, IP Litigator, Powell Gilbert LLP, one of the UK's leading specialist Intellectual Property law practices
