Encounters between Art and Science
25 February – 24 March 2013
While you are visiting the Centre why not take a look at the various artworks installed throughout the public spaces of the Library.
Each work has been inspired by the science collections and a result of collaboration between the Science, Technology and Medicine team at the Library and Art and Science MA participants from Central Saint Martins.
The artworks highlight how science and art have more in common than we might think.
Pieces include a ‘Cabinet of Cosmic Wonder’, reinterpreted Medieval bestiaries, a sound installation reflecting on the way libraries are quiet yet contain many words, and photographs of the masonry of the City of London.
