Inventor in Residence helps over 200 people

23/07/09

Mark Sheahan

One of the Centre's best friends is our Inventor in Residence, Mark Sheahan. Since becoming our point person on IP (intellectual property) he has seen over 200 inventor and designers for an hour's meeting to discuss the design, security, manufacturing and route to market of people's ideas.

Mark has been very impressed with the variety of concepts coming through the doors; this is one of the reasons he keeps coming back and offering more of his own time.

A special event was recently held, inviting all his past guests back to catch up with him and get advice from other Library staff. Everyone had wonderful praise for his honesty and support. You can apply to take up one of these sessions by telling us a little bit about yourself and where you want to get to with this short form.

Mark is one of the Centre's guest experts along with Rachel Elnuagh, Kresse Wesling and Helen Parkins.

Autumn dates will soon be announced for two new Experts; start-up stars Rhodri Ferrier and Simon Duffy from Bulldog Male Grooming. Make sure to get our August e-newsletter to find out more information.
