Inventor in Residence reaches 500 people

03/12/12

Mark Sheahan

Our Inventor in Residence, Mark Sheahan has reached the amazing milestone of 500 Ask an Expert sessions!

Since beginning these sessions in July 2007, Mark has given 2 days a month to mentor our new inventors, many of whom have since had fantastic success including Cyclehoop founder, Anthony Lau and the innovative colour changing umbrellas from Squid London.

While there are many professional IP lawyers and product design companies out there offering services, many of whom are our partners, Mark’s sessions offer a unique opportunity to talk to someone in confidence who not only understands the legal and financial aspects of protecting an invention but also the business and personal experience of taking an idea to market. This works hand-in-hand with other advisors but is invaluable in the help it provides.

In recognition of Mark’s achievement and to thank him for the generosity and support he has provided throughout the years, he was presented with a special Adopt a Book  of the works of Leonardo da Vinci, another inspirational innovator.

Ask an Expert provides the opportunity to have a free one-hour advice session with our experts. Mark is experienced in the process of taking an invention from idea to finished product and can advise you on everything from protecting your idea, licensing it to others or designing and manufacturing the product yourself.
