Be inspired by our ‘Make it, Sell it!’ designers

Last week we held our latest ‘Make it, Sell it!’speed mentoring session in the Business & IP Centre. It’s aimed at designers and makers, and typically we get a mix of jewellery, fashion, homeware, crafts and stationery designers. The events always sell-out in advance, so if you weren’t able to make it this time, our next one will be held in November during Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Around 40 makers came along to pick the brains of our excellent experts, including Hannah Booth from the Guardian and Alan Ward from Bang Creations.

Fran Taylor, our Creative industries marketing manager, took part as a marketing and social media expert during the event. She has featured some of her favourite designers from the day on her blog, including the work of Gemma Land, a very talented designer who designs and manufacturers her scarves range in the UK. Her first collection launched at Paris fashion week.
