Radio 4 Woman’s Hour have an ongoing series on Women in Business. Steve van Dulken, leading Intellectual property expert at the British Library and Mandy Haberman, inventor of the Anywayup Cup were invited to discuss the importance of a good patent.

Steve is a specialist in British patent law and has a regular blog called The Patent Search which takes a look at the world of inventions.

Mandy invented the Anywayup Cup which means small children no longer get more drink down their fronts. She ran into difficulties when other cups arrived on the market.

Having successfully enforced her intellectual property rights through the courts when competitors arrived on the market. She has become an avid campaigner for improvements in the patent system.
