Jessica Ratcliffe - our success story

Jessica Ratcliffe founded GaBoom Limited in February 2010 and GaBoom.co.uk went live at the end of June 2010, providing users with an efficient and secure video-game exchange service.
Jessica had the idea for the service when she was just 15, but didn't act upon it until she was at university, where she heard about the Business & IP Centre. In addition to having a one-to-one session with a business expert, Jessica used the Centre's free resources to carry out extensive market research and find out about her Intellectual Property options.
Shortly after she founded the company, she entered and won the National Varsity Pitch Competition, scooping the grand prize of £10,000 which helped with developing the business and keeping it afloat while changes were being made.
Jessica has appeared on Dragon's Den and been featured in The Independent, Tech Crunch, The Next Women and The Telegraph.
