Striding Out

Heather Wilkinson wanted to provide a service to help young entrepreneurs learn the skills to start and grow their business, and meet great contacts. She set up Striding Out as a social enterprise to provide training and networking opportunities.

Heather discovered the Business & IP Centre when she came to the Library for an advice session with Dame Anita Roddick, as part of our Ask an expert programme. She used the databases in the Business & IP Centre to find valuable information that helped her to grow Striding Out, such as finding sources of funding.

Striding Out are now a Partner of the Business & IP Centre and run regular workshops in the Centre on a variety of essential topics for young entrepreneurs.
