What does Leonard Cheshire Disability do?
Supports people with disabilities to enable them to reach their full potential. This includes delivering employment and training projects and supporting disabled people into self-employment.
Leonard Cheshire Disability is also a campaigning organisation that provides people with disabilities with the information and advice they want to make informed choices and be full participants in society. Leonard Cheshire Disability is a national provider of care at home services, residential care services and day centres.

Key services
- Ability Media Centre is a fully accessible media facility covering television and radio production and post production and editing.
- Ready to Start, a three year project to help people with disabilities into self employment
- Enabled 4 Enterprise, a project to help business advisers understand disability and improve their services to disabled people.
- The Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs a £50,000 prize from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
- Suitability, an online resource backed by a team of advisers that identifies the skills, talents and experience of disabled people and matches them with employers as part of an online recruitment service.
