Jo Fairley, co-founder Green & Black's
In 1991, Jo co-founded the pioneering organic chocolate company Green & Black’s (with her husband Craig Sams) one of the UK’s biggest selling chocolate brands.In 2005, the brand was sold to Cadbury’s, but Jo remains in an ambassadorial role, travelling the world as the brand grows internationally.
Jo now runs Judges Bakery - an organic one-stop shop - and The Wellington Centre, an 11-room ‘boutique’ wellbeing centre, in her home town of Hastings. She continues to juggle this with her writing career.
Will King, founder of King of Shaves
The King of Shaves brand was created by Will King in the depths of the UK recession in the early 1990s.
Following redundancy, King decided to build his own business, King of Shaves, and his first product was shaving oil, which solved his personal problem with shaving - razor burn.
Today, over thirty different King of Shaves brand products are stocked in all major outlets across the UK as well as being available in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa and Brazil.
Laura Tenison, founder of JoJo Maman Bébé
As the founder and Managing Director of JoJo Maman Bébé, Laura has grown the company organically from its start-up in 1993 to become the UK’s foremost niche multi-channel specialist in the pregnancy and baby market.
The company, now with 60 stores nationwide, continues to expand both organically in the UK and via trade sales to over 60 countries across the world.
