Product Development Clinics
Do you have that “wow” of a new product idea but don't know where to start?
Our Product Development Clinics provide you with the opportunity to have a one hour one-to-one session to discuss your idea with Bob Lindsey, an experienced practitioner in assessing and bringing products to market.
The clinic will help with some pointers to the research to do before you start investing time and money and then tell you how to start to progress it towards that market entry once you have established it is viable.
Some of the areas that will be covered in this clinic include:
- Is it viable? Is it viable for you – or could it be viable for someone else?
- What value does the “idea” have?
- What are the barriers to market entry?
- Are there standards or approvals to meet? BSI – ISO – European Directives? CE Mark?
- Can it be protected? Is there intellectual property that can be registered?
- Can it be monetised? Do you need to build a team?
- What is the likely route-to-market?
- What do you do next?
This one hour clinic will be held in a secure environment (a non-disclosure agreement will be sent to you before the meeting).
What you will gain
This will provide an independent view on the viability of the product/service idea and whether it’s possible for you to take it further. Areas of further research will be identified and an initial action plan will be developed.
Bob says:
“I meet many people who have been thinking about a viable new product idea and are not sure of what to do next. I also meet people who have been working on “non-viable” product ideas and have invested much time and money.
I enjoy helping people on an often difficult (and lonely) journey - to realise the viable ideas - to make some of the non-viable ideas into viable ones - and to help to lay to rest those that will be always unviable for the original idea generator.”
