If any of this sounds familiar or if youre having difficulty getting your message across, this is the workshop for you. Advocacy is all about communication. You need to be clear about what you want to achieve, your message, and who you want to hear it.
This workshop explores how to build a persuasive, relevant and interesting case for collection care. It uses examples and experience from libraries and archives, discusses strategies for effective communication, and provides tips on monitoring and evaluating success.
To focus the mind, we ask that you come to the workshop with a single sentence describing what you want to achieve within two years. This will be used in practical sessions throughout the day as you develop your advocacy plan.

You will be invoiced for the full amount on receipt of the registration form. Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the date of the invoice. All payments must be made in UK pounds sterling, without deduction of bank charges. Payment can be made by cheque, credit/debit card or by bank transfer. Cancellations will not be refunded. A substitute delegate is acceptable if notified to the Preservation Advisory Centre. This registration form constitutes a legally binding contract. In the unlikely event of the training day being cancelled the organisers will make a full refund of the training day fee received but disclaim any further liability.
