New standards for collections
PD5454: 2012 and PAS198: 2012 (full)
Seminar at the British Library Centre for Conservation, London
Thursday 29 November 2012
The British Library Preservation Advisory Centre is delighted to host this afternoon seminar, one in a series organised by the National Conservation Service and presented by Chris Woods in his role as chair of the BSI committee responsible for BS5454, to inform people about the new version PD5454: 2012 Guide for the storage and exhibition of archival materials.
The seminar includes an introduction by Nancy Bell (The National Archives) who led the production of PAS 198: 2012 Specification for managing environmental conditions for cultural collections. This event is generously sponsored by Restore Plc, who will also be presenting a case study on the new collaborative storage service to be launched later this year in partnership with NCS in buildings that exemplify the principle of PD5454. Restore have also kindly provided us with a drinks reception at the end of the programme.
