Hobson, French and Italian collectors, p. 54-55, n. 25 reproduces a similar Breton binding, probably bound at Rennes c. 1581, for Nicolas Le Prevost du Parc, kings' advisor in 1588, on Coustumes generales des Pays et Duché de Bretagne, Rennes, Julien du Clos, 1581. Two other bindings from this workshop are known: J. Baer & Co., Frankfurter Bücherfreund, 12, taf. 49; the other Gramont sale, Paris, 18 December 1933, lot 22 on Coustumes generalles de Bretagne, Paris, Jacques Dupuis, 1584.
