Martial
Description: Opening of Martial's Liber de Spectaculis, with the title in the square capitals attributed to Bartolomeo Sanvito, and the text to Pompino Leto. Illuminated white vine-stem initial 'B'(arbara) and border with white vine-stem decoration, green parrots, and putti holding a wreath (left blank, perhaps for the addition of a coat of arms).
