Description: Illuminated historiated initial 'A' of an apocryphal story added to the end of Daniel, in which Daniel is challenged by the king of Babylon to prove that a dragon, worshipped by many Babylonians as a god, is not a god. Daniel feeds a poison to the dragon, killing it, proving that it was mortal.
