Ownership inscriptions
Description: Inscription recording that the book was purchased by Roger de Fulton, archdeacon of Lincoln, from Galfridus, in presence of Robert de Lee, John de Lirling, Richard de Luda, and Henry, vicar of North Elkington, Lincolnshire, brother of Galfridus, reading 'Iste liber sententia[rum] est liber mag[i]s[tr]i / Rog[er]I archid[iacon]i lincoln[ensis] quem emit / a Galfrido fr[atr]e henrici vicarii / de Northelkinton presentibus mag[ist]ro Rob[er]to / de Lee, mag[ist]ro Joh[an]e de Lirling, Ric[ardo] de / Luda cl[er]ico, Ric[ardo] clemosinario (?), d[i]c[t]o h. vicario / et dic[t]o suo, et aliis'; and another inscription stating that the book was given to the Benedictine abbey of St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. Oswald, Bardney, Lincolnshire, by Roger de Fulton, reading 'p[re]dict[us] v[ero] archidiacon[us] p[re]dic[tu]m lib[rum] dedit d[e]o et s[anc]to Oswaldo / et abb[a]ti et conventui de Barden[ey].'
