Description: |
Historiated initial 'D'(omine) of the Betrayal of Christ, at the beginning of Matins in the Office of the Passion. Judas kisses Jesus, who holds a staff and book and is surrounded by soldiers holding clubs and axes. To the left Peter cuts the ear of a crouching soldier with a large sword. In the lower bar border is a dragon and a man shooting an arrow at a bird. |
