? Offered for sale in James Edwards 1790 catalogue, item 461. Price of £10 10s, probably before 1812 (inscription '10.10, upper left-hand corner, f. i verso). James Edwards (b. 1756, d. 1816), book collector and bookseller, given to Burney after 1792 (inscription, f. 1). Charles Burney (b. 1757, d. 1817), D.D., classical scholar. Acquired by the British Museum as part of Burney’s library from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818. |
