Provenance Samuel ben rabbi he-haver Rabbi Hayyim, scribe: inscribed with his name in a colophon, in Lunel? (ff. 272, 311v); the name Shmuel is marked (f. 209).
Hayyim: the word is decorated or marked as an acrostic (ff. 50v, 334, 348).
Joseph: the name is marked with a small human head attached to it (ff. 270, 320v).
Remains of a contract, mostly illegible (f. 272v).
Hebrew inscription: letters of the Hebrew alphabet in order and in counter order a blessing; its last part had been crossed out (f. [384]).
Samuel Schönblum of Vienna: purchased by the British Museum from him on 24 August 1865: inscribed (f. [385]).
Notes The codex is imperfect at the beginning and at the end. There are two lacunae after ff. 146, 378 and the outer bifolio is missing from quire xxiii.
f. 382 is a folio from a much smaller codex with a fragment of Psalm 119 (119:48-65) written in Sephardic square script. On the same folio, there is a partially erased Hebrew inscription in the upper margin.
