Binding Post-1600. Embroidered covers, with clasps; edges gauffred and gilded; bright pink silk endpapers.
Provenance Coloured silk panels with decorated frames in colours (ff. 3, 11, 92, 146, 294), probably additions to the manuscript, reset in parchment frames
17th-century marginal flowers in colours and gold inserted at various places, mainly to mark important divisions of the text,
Valdemar Ebbesen, Vice-Counsul of Norway: bought in 1930 by the British Museum, using the Bridgewater fund (£12,000 bequeathed in 1829 by Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater (b. 1756, d. 1829).
