Provenance Apparently formerly bound with Burney 306 and 315: the script and decoration of all three are the same or very similar; the leaf dimensions of Burney 315 and 236 are the same; the leaf dimensions of Burney 306 and the flyleaves of Burney 236 are the same; the flyleaf that formerly faced Burney 306, f. 1 (now bound upside-down as Burney 306, f. 20) lists the contents as 'Grammatica Guidonis [in Burney 315]. Grammatica Prisciani [in this manuscript]. Ovidus de mirabilibus'.
Unidentified owner: additional texts added (ff. 198-205v).

Purchased for the British Museum from his son Charles Parr Burney in 1818.
