Binding Post-1600. Gold-tooled brown leather, bound by Lewis 1827 (note on 1st flyleaf [f. iii]); gilt edges.
Provenance The Augustinian Priory of Wombridge, co. Salop, c. 1500.

Bought by the British Museum in 1954, using the Bridgewater fund (12,000 bequeathed in 1829 by Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater (b. 1756, d. 1829).
Notes A long document relating to the Priory of St Werburgh at Chester is added at the end (f. 97), which was used previously as a binding for the volume.
2 leaves of a late 13th-century Antiphonar with musical notation (after f. 97, foliated iv and v).
