Decoration Large space for a miniature in two compartments, with the upper half excised, the lower half empty and only framed in blue with gold corners (f. 3). 1 large and 2 smaller decorated initials including heraldic arms, in colours and gold (f. 19). 1 large puzzle initial in red and blue with pen-flourishing in blue and red including a hybrid figure (f. 13v). Smaller and small initials in blue with red pen-flourishing. 1 large miniature? excised (f. 19).

Provenance Unidentified coat of arms, late 14th century (f. 19).
Bought by the British Museum, using the Bridgewater fund (12,000 bequeathed in 1829 by Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater (b. 1756, d. 1829).
