Decoration 5 historiated initials, accompanied by full foliate borders, in colours and gold (ff. 41, 104, 147, 172v, 190). Large initials in gold on red and blue grounds, with foliate extensions into the margins. At the end, 3 large initials in gold on pink and light blue foliate grounds (ff. 246v, 250v, 252v). Paraph marks in plain red or blue.

Binding Post-1600. Brown leather; marbled endpapers; gilt edges.
Provenance Henry Yates Thompson (b. 1838, d. 1928), collector of illuminated manuscripts and newspaper proprietor: with his book-plate inscribed '£ble.e.e [i.e. £190.0.0] / [bought from] Maggs / March 1924 (inside upper cover).
Bequeathed to the British Museum in 1941 by Mrs Henry Yates Thompson.
