Datable to c. 1244: the original scribe includes events down to 1243 (f. 133v); probably written at the Cistercian abbey of St Mary, Dore: mention of the abbey as 'hec domus' and 'ista domus' (f. 134); its foundation mentioned in the hand of the original scribe (f. 132); mentioned in an obliterated 16th-century note (f. 116v) (see Watson).
