    Scott Collection: Tribal groups and views in the Shan States.

    Siamese post at Hwe Lang. In 1890 the Siamese Comissioners were at last persuaded to meet their British opposite numbers. They camped near Hwe Lang, a stream flowing into the Salween and forming the northern boundary of trans-Salween Karenni.
