This booklet is catalogued at the BNCRM in a miscellany called Religion, which contains many booklets by military chaplains. Giuseppe Mazzini (1805-1872) was the founder of Risorgimento, a political movement aimed at the reunification of Italy. In this booklet he doesn’t speak about Catholicism, but the lay patriotic religion of the nation: the People’s Gospel, different from Church religion and from communism, which rose up after the Soviet Revolution.
