The second big attack on Serbia by the Central Power forces happened in the autumn of 1915. After a successful defence in 1914, in 1915 three armies attacked Serbia: Germany and Austria-Hungary from the north and west and Bulgaria, which had just joined the war, from the east. Without help from the Allies, the Serbian king, government, army and part of the civilian population fled to Greece, retreating through Albania.
The attack was the final push required by the Central Powers to win the Serbian Front in 1915. At the same time, the poster presents Bulgaria’s entry into the war as an act of treason.
