The firm of
Smith, Elder is not usually associated with yellowback reprints,
but when they published a new edition of The Parents Cabinet,
twenty-five years after its first appearance, considerable trouble
was taken to update the books design as well as the text.
It was issued in twelve shilling monthly parts, each with an engraved
titlepage by W. J. Linton and a coloured frontispiece printed by
J. M. Kronheim, bound in attractive decorated paper covers. A more
expensive two-volume issue in cloth was also available.
