A MANUSCRIPT (Or. 13506) of Kalila and Dimna recently acquired by the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books (with the valuable assistance of the National Art Collections Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, and the Mark Fitch Fund) is of the highest importance as providing for study a unique example of an early style of Persian miniature painting which forms a link between other, well-documented styles.
