2010 The Fifteenth Annual Douglas W. Bryant Lecture

This lecture entitled 'Anti-Americanism in the 21st Century' was given by Simon Jenkins on Monday, 17 May 2010, in the British Library Conference Centre.

Simon Jenkins is a journalist and author. He writes a column twice weekly for the Guardian and the Evening Standard. Previously he wrote columns for The Sunday Times and The Times and was editor of The Times from 1990 to 1992. He was Journalist of the Year in 1988 and Columnist of the Year in 1993. He served on the boards of British Rail and London Transport in the 1980s and was deputy chairman of English Heritage and a Millennium Commissioner. He has served as chair of the National Trust since November 2008. His books include Thatcher & Sons (2006), England's Thousand Best Churches (1999), England's Thousand Best Houses (2003) and Wales: Churches, Houses, Castles (2008).
