Book Sales Catalogues of the Dutch Republic An index to the comprehensive and ongoing re-publication on microfiche of Dutch book sales catalogues from 1599 to 1800.
British Book Trade Index Searchable index of people involved with printing and book trade in England and Wales from the 1470s to 1851. Each entry gives brief biographical information and cites bibliographical references and archival sources.
The British Newspaper Archive The British Newspaper Archive is a partnership between the British Library and brightsolid online publishing to digitise up to 40 million newspaper pages over a 10 year period. Approx. 200 newspaper titles are already available with new pages and titles being added every day.

EEBO-TCP EEBO-TCP (Early English Books Online Text Creation Partnership) Fully-searchable text editions selected from the works digitised for Early English Books Online by the Universities of Michigan and Oxford.
ECCO: Eighteenth Century Collections Online When complete, ECCO will make available nearly 150,000 English-language titles and editions published between 1701 and 1800, scanned and with searchable full text. The collection is based on The English Short Title Catalogue (ESTC), a machine-readable union list of the holdings of the British Library, as well as those from more than 1,500 university, private, and public libraries worldwide.
Eighteenth Century Journals, c1685-1815 Seamless integrated access to Sections I-IV of the digital Eighteenth Century Journals project. This Portal brings together rare journals printed between c1685 and 1815, illuminating all aspects of eighteenth-century social, political and literary life. Online resource
Empire Online Full digital facsimiles of printed and manuscript materials relevant to the history of the British Empire. The project is being published in five sections between 2003 and 2007 offering c60,000 images of original documents linked to essays by leading scholars in the field. The sections cover Cultural Contacts, 1492-1969 (2003); Empire Writing and the Literature of Empire (2003/4); The Visible Empire (2004/5); Religion and Empire (2005/6); and Race, Class and Colonialism, c1783-1969 (2006/7).
Encyclopedie de Diderot et d'Alembert A complete online version including the 11 volumes of plates of the first edition of Diderot and d'Alembert's Encyclopédie developed by the Institut national de la langue française and the ARTFL Project, University of Chicago.
European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750 Bibliographic database based on European Americana : a chronological guide to works printed in Europe relating to the Americas, 1493-1750. Over 32,000 entries, covering the history of European exploration and portrayals of native American peoples.
Heritage of the Printed Book Database Compiled by the Consortium of European Research Libraries (CERL), the Heritage of the Printed Book database (HeritagePrintedBook) is a union catalogue of European printing from the 15th century to the middle of the 19th century.
History of Science, Technology and Medicine The International Union of the History and Philosophy of Science's database integrates four separately created bibliographies and describes journal articles, conference proceedings, books, book reviews, and dissertations in all scientific disciplines and related fields. Coverage relates to publications from 1975 to the present.
Illustrated Incunable Short Title Catalogue (IISTC) International bibliography of books and other items printed from moveable type before 1501. Based on the British Library's 'Incunabula Short-Title Catalogue', with added digital images.
In Principio Incipit index to Latin texts, from the pre-Classical to the late Medieval periods.
International Medieval Bibliography A bibliography of published literature relating to the European Middle Ages (c450-1500). Besides monographs, the work indexes over 4,000 periodicals published in Europe, the Americas and the Pacific. 1967-
Italian Academies The Italian Academies themed collection provides a detailed searchable database for locating printed material relating to the Italian learned Academies active in Bologna, Naples, Padua and Siena in the period 1530-1650 and now held in the collections of the British Library.
Iter Bibliography Covers all literature pertaining to the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700). Citations for journal articles, reviews, review articles, bibliographies, catalogues, abstracts and discographies are included. Also included are citations for monographs, and material published in monographs and collections of essays.
Iter Italicum Lists previously uncatalogued or incompletely catalogued Renaissance humanistic manuscripts found in libraries and collections all over the world. Originally published in six volumes between 1963 and 1992.
Jahrbuch der Auktionspreise (JAP CD-ROM) Cummulative record of books and manuscripts sold at auction in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland since 1990. Accompanies the printed annual volumes.

JISC Historic Books Digital facsimiles and full-text searching of some 360,000 British and English-language printed books, pamphlets and ephemeral items. Material dates from the 15th to late 19th centuries. The platform allows cross-searching of 'Early English Books Online' and 'Eighteenth Century Collections Online', along with selected 19th century books from the British Library.
John Johnson Collection : an Archive of Printed Ephemera This collection provides access to thousands of items selected from the John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera, offering unique insights into the changing nature of everyday life in Britain in the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Categories include Nineteenth-Century Entertainment, the Booktrade, Popular Prints, Crimes, Murders and Executions, and Advertising.
London Low Life London Low Life is a full-text searchable resource, containing colour digital images of rare books, ephemera, maps and other materials relating to 18th, 19th and early 20th century London.
Lugt's Répertoire online The Répertoire des catalogues de ventes publiques by Frits Lugt lists more than 100,000 art sales catalogues from libraries in Europe and the USA and covers the period 1600 to 1925. Search options include date, place of sale, provenance, auction house, content and library locations. Included in Art Sales Catalogues Online.
Nineteenth Century The catalogue of a thirty-year publishing programme which reproduces on microfiche a significant proportion of English-language works first published between 1801-1900, mostly drawn from the collections of the British Library.

Nineteenth Century Short Title Catalogue (NSTC)

British books printed between 1801 and 1919. This includes all books published in Britain, its colonies, and the USA, as well as all books in English and all translations from English. A number of major library catalogues have been used, including: the Bodleian pre-1920 catalogue, the main catalogue of Cambridge University Library, Trinity College Dublin Library, National Library of Scotland, Harvard University's union catalogue, the Library of Congress MARC and PRE-MARC files and the British Library's General Catalogue of Printed Books to 1955.
Oxford Dictionary of National Biography An illustrated collection of 50,000 specially written biographies of the men and women who shaped all aspects of Britain's past, from the fourth century BC to the year 2000, with 10,000 portrait illustrations. Updated three times a year. The online Oxford DNB also includes the entire text of the first DNB.

Patrologia Latina

An electronic version of the first edition of Jacques-Paul Migne's Patrologia Latina, published between 1844 and 1855, and the four volumes of indexes published between 1862 and 1865.
SCIPIO International union catalogue listing sale catalogues held in libraries world-wide, but with a strong American emphasis. The sale catalogues described relate primarily to sales of books and art works at auction throughout Europe and North America from the late 16th century to the present day.
Wing Short Title Catalogue Electronic version of Wing's 'Short title catalogue of books printed in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and British America, and of English books printed in other countries, 1641-1700' (2nd edition). Selected library locations are given for each item described.

Credo Reference Credo Reference is an online reference library that provides access to a large number of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri and other reference books. Subjects covered include art, biography, history, literature, music, religion, and science and technology.
Encyclopaedia of Islam The online Encyclopaedia of Islam incorporates the entire text of volumes I to XI and Supplement (Volume XII) of the printed edition of the Encyclopaedia of Islam. Additional search facilities and the Supplement enable the user to efficiently search and combine data from a vast corpus of over 12,000 printed pages.
Ephraim Deinard The Hebrew publications of Ephraim Deinard comprise a trove of historical and bibliographic material relating to Russian, Palestinian, and American Jewish history, Crimean and Karaite studies, anti-Hasidic polemic, modern Hebrew literature, and antiquarian Hebrew booklore. Scattered in libraries around the world, these works – some of which are excessively rare – are all made accessible in this unique collection.
