The electronic databases available in the British Library's London Reading Rooms cover business and intellectual property, the humanities (including rare books and music), manuscripts, maps, science, social science and official publications, newspapers and our Asia, Pacific & Africa Collections.
Owing to licensing restrictions, these resources can only be accessed from British Library workstations within our Reading Rooms and Business & IP Centre.
Except where indicated, titles are available in all the Library's London Reading Rooms.

| Cambodian Genocide Program | Since 1994, the
award-winning Cambodian Genocide Program, a project of the
Genocide Studies Program at the Yale Center for International
and Area Studies, has been trying to learn as much as possible
about the tragedy of 1975/79, and to help determine who was
responsible for the crimes of the Pol Pot regime. In Phnom
Penh in 1996, for instance the program gained access to the
100,000-page archive of that defunct regime's security police,
the Santebal. This material has been microfilmed by Yale
University's Sterling Library and made available to scholars
worldwide. The team responsible for the program have compiled
and published 22,000 biographic and bibliographic records, and
over 6,000 photographs, documents, translations, and maps,
along with an extensive list of CGP books and research papers

| Cambrian Index Online | Swansea Central Library's newspaper indexing project contains 400,000 entries, mostly from The Cambrian, published in Swansea from 1804 to 1930. The index covers the major part of the 19th century. All the newspaper's reported birth, marriage and death entries are extracted and indexed, regardless of location. | The Cecil Papers | The Cecil Papers are a privately held archive, consisting principally of the correspondence of William Cecil, Lord Burghley (1520-1598) and his son, Robert, the 1st Earl of Salisbury (1563-1612). These two men dominated the administration of government during the reign of Elizabeth I. The database offers full-colour images digitised directly from the original Cecil Papers manuscripts at Hatfield House Archives and a digitised version of the Calendar of the Manuscripts of the Marquess of Salisbury. Incorporates the Spanish Speaking Mental Health Database, a comprehensive resource covering psychological, sociological, and educational literature. | China/Asia On Demand (CAOD) | China/Asia On Demand (CAOD)/Asia Document Delivery is a powerful Web-based research, access and electronic information solution. Provides access to a wide range of journals (9,638 titles), millions of theses and dissertations, patents and conference proceeding papers. Articles can be retrieved and downloaded in their original format including graphs and illustrations. NB: Depending on the article you require there are two methods of accessing the full text. Having clicked on the Full text link, click the 'Confirm to continue' button, click 'OK in the Microsoft dialog box and then select the Full text link presented. If that fails, choose the 'Click here to enter your mail address' option (just above the 'Confirm' button), enter your email address, click the 'Confirm' button, click 'OK in the dialog box and then make a note of the transaction number displayed. Revisit the site later and enter the transaction number into the Order Options Track box on the left-hand side of the screen; then select the Full text link presented. | Chinese catalogue allegro-C | British Library catalogue of Chinese
printed materials in the Chinese collections of the Asia, Pacific &
African Collections (excluding Chinese language items in other British
Library collections), mainly from the 20th century but including some
old and rare works. Current and retronconverted bibliographic records
are added as they are produced. (Publications not yet included can be

| Chinese Song Period Resources 960-1279 |
Song Research Tools is an online research guide that lists and describes reference materials relating to all aspects of Song society. The online edition, last updated in November 2006, is a revised edition of Peter Bol's Sung Research Tools, which appeared first in 1990 and in a second edition in 1996. | Chinese UK Union Catalogue | Includes more than 100,000 records from the catalogues of the British Library's Chinese collections, and those of the university libraries of Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Leeds and the School of Oriental and African Studies (London). CINAHL
Plus provides indexing for 3,802 journals from the fields of nursing and
allied health. It also contains searchable cited references for more than
1,270 journals. Full text material includes nearly 80 journals plus legal

| CINCH (Australian Criminology Database) | Australian Criminology Database (CINCH), produced by the Australian Institute of Criminology, is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from published and unpublished material on all aspects of crime and criminal justice from 1968 onwards. Source documents include journal articles, monographs, monograph chapters, conference papers, government documents, book reviews and theses. Statistical publications in serial form such as annual statistical reviews are gradually being added to the database. | Codex Sinaiticus | Codex Sinaiticus is one of the most important books in the world. Handwritten well over 1600 years ago, the manuscript contains the Christian Bible in Greek, including the oldest complete copy of the New Testament. Its heavily corrected text is of outstanding importance for the history of the Bible and the manuscript - the oldest substantial book to survive Antiquity - is of supreme importance for the history of the book. The Codex Sinaiticus Project is an international collaboration to reunite the entire manuscript in digital form and make it accessible to a global audience for the first time. | Conference Papers Index 1982 to present |
Conference Papers provides citations to papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific meetings around the world. Subject emphasis since 1995 has been in the life sciences, environmental sciences and the aquatic sciences, while older material also covers physics, engineering and materials science. Information is derived from final programs, abstracts booklets and published proceedings, as well as from questionnaire responses. Records include complete ordering information to obtain preprints, abstracts, proceedings and other publications derived from the conference, together with title and author information needed to track the specific papers. | Confidential Print: Africa 1834-1966 | Confidential Print: Africa consists of the core records relating to British government decision-making on Africa between 1834 and 1966, and is an invaluable source for historians of this period. It includes correspondence and other records that were printed and circulated for discussion within UK government departments. Three hundred maps from other record series have also been added. The resource includes well over 1,000 files and bound volumes, and is free-text searchable.

| Corpus dei Manoscritti Copti Letterari | Corpus dei Manoscritti Copti Letterari [Corpus of Coptic Literary manuscripts] contains the descriptions of literary Coptic manuscripts in the Casalini Library (Italy) compiled by Prof.T.Orlandi. This database compliments the published Catalogue of Coptic Literary Manuscripts in the British Library acquired since the year 1906 prepared by Bentley Layton (London,1987). | The Current Digest of the Russian Press Digital Archive 1949 to the present. In English | CDRP is a comprehensive retrospective digest
of the news presented to the Soviet and Russian public for more than a half century, from the beginnings
of the Cold War through the emergence of Russia in the new balance of power. Articles translated for the
Current Digest include important news and information from the leading dailies and government
reports of the day. During the Soviet era, hundreds of other special interest journals and authoritative
sources were also scoured for relevant articles to include. Published with this care weekly since 1949,
the CDRP paints a broad picture of Soviet and post-Soviet times, including coverage of
