The electronic databases available in the British Library's London Reading Rooms cover business and intellectual property, the humanities (including rare books and music), manuscripts, maps, science, social science and official publications, newspapers and our Asia, Pacific & Africa Collections.

Owing to licensing restrictions, these resources can only be accessed from British Library workstations within our Reading Rooms and Business & IP Centre.

Except where indicated, titles are available in all the Library's London Reading Rooms.

Gale News Vault	Gale News Vault allows the cross-searching of our Gale newspaper archives subscriptions including 19th Century British Library Newspapers, The Times Digital Archive, the Illustrated London News, The Financial Times Historical Archive and 19th Century UK Periodicals.
Gallica - La presse quotidienne	Gallica, the digital library of the Bibliothéque nationale de France, hosts numerous newspaper titles from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Titles currently include Le Figaro (1830-1942), Le Temps (1861-1935), La Croix (1883-1944), L'Humanité (1904-1944), La Presse (1836-1858), and Le Journal des débats (1814-1912). German National Bibliography	The on-line catalogue of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothekcontains records for all books listed since 1945 in the "Deutsche Nationalbibliographie" and thus serves as a German national bibliography for that period. The Gerritsen Collection - Women's History Online	A collection of more than 4,700 publications from continental Europe, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand, dating from 1543-1945. Gerritsen Online allows scholars to trace the evolution of feminism within a single country, as well as the impact of one country's movement on those of the others. Global Books in Print	A database of bibliographical information on books currently in print and forthcoming in the English language. Global Commodities: Trade, Exploration and Cultural Exchange	Global Commodities: Trade, Exploration and Cultural Exchange provides a vast range of visual, manuscript and printed materials sourced from over twenty key libraries and more than a dozen companies and trade organisations around the world.
Global Development Finance	Provides direct access to more than 200 debt and financial flows indicators for the 135 countries that report public and publicly-guaranteed debt to the World Bank Debtor Reporting System. Global GIS Database: Digital Atlas of Central and South America	Layered GIS database at a nominal scale of 1:1,000,000 of South America. Global Market Information Database (GMID) (Euromonitor International)	Provides comparable international market intelligence on countries, consumers and industries. Offers access to over 4,500 global, country, industry, company and lifestyle reports, company profiles, company market share and brand share rankings, plus 205 country profiles. GlobalPat 1971-	Text and drawings from first pages of United Kingdom (GB), European Patent Convention (EP), Patent Co-operation Treaty (WO), United States (US), France (FR), Germany (DE) and Switzerland (CH) patent documents. Goethes Werke	Based primarily on the Weimar edition of Goethe's works, originally published between 1887 and 1919 by Hermann Bohlau. It is supplemented by material not found in the Weimar edition, namely Goethe's Gesprache, edited by Woldemar Freiherr von Biedermann (Leipzig 1889-1896) and all the letters discovered since the completion of the Weimar edition. Gospels of Peresopnytsya	The "Peresopnytsya Gospel" is the first known translation of the Gospel text into the Ukrainian language, the illuminated manuscript dating from the years 1555-1561. It is located at the Institute of Manuscripts at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This is a digital facsimile edition. GreenFile 1984 to present	Offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for approximately 295,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,600 records.
