The electronic databases available in the British Library's London Reading Rooms cover business and intellectual property, the humanities (including rare books and music), manuscripts, maps, science, social science and official publications, newspapers and our Asia, Pacific & Africa Collections.
Owing to licensing restrictions, these resources can only be accessed from British Library workstations within our Reading Rooms and Business & IP Centre.
Except where indicated, titles are available in all the Library's London Reading Rooms.

Indexes, articles and book reviews in key library and information
science periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere
from 1984. Full-text coverage for selected periodicals is also
included from 1994. Books, chapters in collected works such
as conference proceedings, library school theses, and pamphlets
are also indexed. This database can be searched in combination

| Literaturnaia gazeta | Established on April 22, 1929, Literaturnaia gazeta focused
on literary and intellectual life. It Soviet Russia's pre-eminent authors, poets, and cultural figures a
particular podium for commentary, affording perhaps fewer restrictions than might be possible in other
publications. Literaturnaia gazeta was considered the most open among newspapers of the Soviet
era, and it remains popular among the intelligentsia in today's Russia. Publication of Literaturnaia gazeta was completely suspended in 1942 and 1943, and no issues were produced. In 1944, only 8 issues were published. The lack of database content for this period is not a gap, but reflects the publication schedule during these challenging years. has been included in Art Sales Catalogues Online;
select the 'Search catalogue' link on the left-hand menu. The Répertoire
des Catalogues de Ventes Publiques by Frits Lugt lists more
than 100,000 art sales catalogues from libraries in Europe and
the USA and covers the period 1600 to 1925. Search options include
date, place of sale, provenance, auction house, content and
