The electronic databases available in the British Library's London Reading Rooms cover business and intellectual property, the humanities (including rare books and music), manuscripts, maps, science, social science and official publications, newspapers and our Asia, Pacific & Africa Collections.

Owing to licensing restrictions, these resources can only be accessed from British Library workstations within our Reading Rooms and Business & IP Centre.

Records of the Parliaments of Scotland to 1707	This site provides free access to a searchable database containing the full text of all minutes and proceedings of Scottish Parliaments from 1235-1707. Other features of the site include a glossary of terms, history of parliaments in Scotland and the union between England and Scotland and a bibliography of further readings on Scottish political and parliamentary history. Registra Vaticana	Registra Vaticana (Reg. Vat. 1-523), contains the texts of papal bulls and letters from John VIII (872-882) to Pius II (1458-1464). The registers reproduced belong to one of the largest and most commonly consulted series in the Vatican Archives Registers and consist of digital image reproductions of the manuscript registers of papal letters housed in the Archivio Segreto Vaticano. Royal Irish Academy Archive of Celtic-Latin Literature	Contains texts from important authors such as St. Patrick, Augustinus Hibernicus, Columbanus, Sedulius Scottus, John Scottus Eriugena, Peter Abelard. Over one hundred saints' lives are included as well as many theological works, liturgical, legislative and penitential works and inscriptions. Russian Academy of Sciences Bibliographies	Covers more than 12,500 periodicals published primarily in Russia, the republics of the former Soviet Union, and countries in Eastern Europe. Created by the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences (INION) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it cites and abstracts books, Manuscripts, dissertations, and articles. Russian Avant-Garde	The most comprehensive collection of Russian Literary avant-garde publications. This collection includes representative works from all Russian literary avant-garde schools. It comprises almost 800 books, periodicals and almanacs most of them published between 1910 and 1940, and thus offers a varied and well-balanced overview of one of the most versatile movements in Russian literature. The books in this collection can be regarded as objects of art, illustrated by famous artists such as Malevich, Goncharova and Lisitskii.
