CAB Abstracts 1910 to present	Bibliographic database compiled by CAB International. Covers literature in the fields of agriculture, forestry, human health, nutrition, animal health, and the management and conservation of natural resources. Includes selected full text documents from the CABI Full Text Database.
CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS COLLECTIVE INDEXES 12TH (1987-1991) 13TH (1992-1996) 14TH (1997-2001)	A five-year cumulative index to chemical and chemical engineering literature. It includes journal papers, patents, conference proceedings government reports, dissertations and books. Resource available on a dedicated workstation in the Science Reading Room - floor 3.
CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS on CD (CA on CD) 2002- to date	A cumulative index to chemical and chemical engineering literature, updated monthly. It includes journal papers, patents, conference proceedings, government eports, dissertations and books. For help with this resource: see staff at the Science Reference Enquiry desk. CINAHL Plus 1937 to present	CINAHL Plus provides indexing for 3,802 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. It also contains searchable cited references for more than 1,270 journals. Full text material includes nearly 80 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.
COCHRANE LIBRARY	A compilation of evidence about the effects of health care, including the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
Compendex (Available through Engineering Village)	Compendex is a comprehensive interdisciplinary engineering database, covering the entire spectrum of engineering, with abstracts from over 5,000 journals, conference papers and proceedings, and technical reports.
CRD databases	A set of three databases which can be searched, individually or together. They are DARE (Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness), NHS Economic Evaluation Database, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Database. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
Credo Reference	Credo Reference (formerly Xreferplus) is an online reference library that provides access to a large number of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri and other reference books. Subjects covered include art, biography, history, literature, music, religion, and science and technology.
Current Contents Connect	Current awareness database that provides access to tables of contents, abstracts and bibliographic information from leading scholarly journals, as well information from evaluated websites and documents.
Dentist Register	Searchable database of registered dentists and dental care professionals in the UK. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
Dissertations & Theses	Index of North American and European doctoral dissertations and master's theses. A large number of the titles are available in full-text. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Master's theses published from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Period covered: 1861-. DRUG INFORMATION - FULLTEXT	Information from the American Hospital Formulary Service and the Handbook of Injectable Drugs.
Earth and Environmental Sciences eBook Collection – Springer	A collection of over 1,200 eBooks published between 2005 and date covering a range of earth and environmental science subjects. Ecology Abstracts 2005 to present	Part of Biological Sciences. Focuses on how organisms of all kinds - microbes, plants, and animals - interact with their environments and with other organisms. Includes relevant papers on evolutionary biology, economics, and systems analysis as they relate to ecosystems or the environment.
EMBASE (Excerpta Medica) 1974 to present	A medical database with particularly good coverage of drug literature. The emphasis is on European sources.
Encyclopedia of Astronomy and Astrophysics	Offers convenient access to the entire text of the printed Encyclopedia with continuous updating to the text, periodic additions of new material, extensive links to primary literature and important astronomy websites.
Encyclopedia of Life Sciences	The most comprehensive reference work published in the biological sciences.
ENERGY CITATIONS	Contains bibliographic records for energy and energy-related scientific and technical information from the US Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor agencies. The Database provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948 to the present, with continued growth through regular updates. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
ENGINEERING VILLAGE (EV2) 1884 to present	Includes the the Compendex and INSPEC and NTIS databases covering all aspects of engineering plus applied physics, computing, data processing, nuclear technology industry standards and engineering management.
Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management (ESPM)	Offers access to the international literature in the environmental sciences. Provides abstracts and citations drawn from scientific journals, conference proceedings, reports, monographs and government publications. Updated monthly.
ESIS (European chemical Substances Information System)	This EU database provides information on chemicals, covering subjects such as classification and labeling, IUCLID Chemical Data Sheets, Risk Assessment and EU Producers/Importers lists. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
Europe PubMed Central	Europe PubMed Central provides a free-to-access online digital archive of full-text, peer-reviewed publications from biomedical and life sciences research. Europe PubMed Central additionally provides access to PubMed abstracts, biological and medical patent records, searchable grant data provided by the funders of the service, as well as link-out to gene, protein and chemical compound databases. This resource is freely available on the Internet.
