Vivek Shanbhag is the author of eight works of fiction and two plays, all of which have been published to wide acclaim in the South Indian language of Kannada. Ghachar Ghochar will be published by Faber in April 2017. From 2005 to 2012, he published and edited the literary journal Desha Kaala. He is the recipient of a Fall 2016 residency at the International Writing Program at Iowa.
Erica Wagner is the author of Gravity: Stories and Seizure. Twice a judge of the Man Booker Prize, she was literary editor of The Times for 17 years and is now contributing literary editor for Harper’s Bazaar, a contributing writer for the New Statesman, as well as writing for The Financial Times, The Economist and The New York Times. She was the recipient of the Eccles British Library Writer’s Award in 2014.
