Video from the Hebrew Manuscripts Digitisation Project Conference held at the British Library on 21 November 2016.
The Institute of Microfilmed Hebrew Manuscripts was established almost 60 years ago, collecting microfilm copies of Hebrew manuscripts from around the world. With the rapid technological advances in preservation, presentation and access to digital content, the National Library of Israel in partnership with the Friedberg Jewish Manuscript Society (FJMS) initiated the renewal of this collection, as KTIV: The International Collection of Digitized Hebrew Manuscripts. Dr Tsafra Siew Hebrew Manuscripts Digitisation Project Manager at the National Library of Israel elaborates on Ktiv's goals in the short and long term.
