British Library Learning aims to encourage students to develop their research skills and to think creatively. This Cromwell inquiry would be suitable for use in History, English, Art or Media Studies lessons at KS4.
Students will study and evaluate images. They will have to consider the impact images make and the messages they carry. They will have to be consider conventions of pose, framing, symbolism.
The images can be printed from the website or saved as graphic files.
